Our BrewView on Unibroue’s Éphémère Bluet was originally published on September 7, 2016.
Brewed since 2016, a seasonal beer that was available for a limited time. Notes of freshly picked blueberries quickly made it a Canadian favorite.

STYLE: Unibroue-style White ale with blueberries. 5.5% ABV.
APPEARANCE: Deep salmon / red colored with light purple hues. 3-finger hieght faint pink colored head is creamy dense, and leaves soapy lacing on the sides of the glass during consumption.
AROMA: Bready Unibroue yeast, huge blueberry aromas with coriander and light citrus.
FLAVOR: Semi-sweet blueberries, fresh herbs, wildflowers, spicy phenols from the yeast.
MOUTHFEEL: Moderate plus carbonation, light bodied, tickles the entire mouth with its refreshing acidity. The blueberry / herbal component lingers.
IMPRESSION: Not your typical blueberry ale, it’s much more complex. We enjoyed it with a blueberry encrusted goat cheese. It’s not currently brewed, so if you can find a bottle, cherish the opportunity.
