BREWVIEW ON THE FIRST & LAST BREWERY – EQUINOX PALE ALE

Our BrewView on The First & Last Brewery’s Equinox Pale Ale was the first of 2 BrewViews. It was originally published in September 2018.

STYLE: British Pale Ale. ABV 4.1%.

APPEARANCE: Medium golden color, with a dense, 2-finger height white colored head. Even-sheeted lacing on the sides of the glass as the beer is consumed.

AROMA: Quite hoppy and citrusy aroma due to the New World Citra hops and a hint of the classic British diacetyl aroma.

FLAVOR: The aromas definitely carry over into the flavor in a refined, non overbearing way. There is a hint of the classic British diacetyl flavor in the background.

MOUTHFEEL: Light to medium bodied, moderate carbonation, the hop bitterness makes the cheeks tingle.

IMPRESSION: World class, this was another example of the British brewer’s art. Very sessionable.
